Is it Better to Cook a Ham at 325F or 350F?
We cook precooked hams at 350F. Cooking at 325F is fine as well, especially if you want to add time for more basting the glazes on the ham. We are usually baking multiple things in the oven and keep the temperatuer at 350F.
Should I Bake Ham Covered or Uncovered?
We start out with the ham covered with aluminum foil the first hour. The second hour, we are starting to add glaze to the ham bake the rest of the time uncovered. If you feel it is drying out, put the foil back on.
How Do I Keep a Precooked Ham Moist in the Oven?
Cover the ham during the cooking process, we use aluminum foil. Remove the foil to glaze the ham. You can also add a little water into the base of the pan before you start cooking (about 1/2 cup). While the ham is covered it will steam the ham.
