What Ingredients Do I Need?
- softened butter
- sugar
- brown sugar
- egg
- vanilla extract
- flour
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- baking soda
- 1 Tablespoon milk
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- milk chocolate chips
What Types of Chocolate Chips Can I Use in This Recipe?
You can use milk chocolate, semi-sweet, chocolate chunks, white chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips. Mini chocolate chips would also be fun to use in this recipe. You could also chop up chocolate bars if you have a favorite type of chocolate you want to use. If you are using 3 different types, use 1/2 cup of each.

How Do I Keep the Cookies Chewy?
Underbaking the cookies by 1-2 minutes will give you a chewy cookie. With the addition of the cocoa powder, it’s hard to see the cookies browning. A timer is a must for this recipe.
Can I Freeze the Cookie Dough?
The dough can be frozen in an airtight container. You will want to label and date the container. When baking the cookies from frozen, you will need to add a couple extra minutes to have the cookies done. If you want them soft, bake at the normal time and let cool before moving.
Be sure to make cookie dough balls if you are freezing.

Triple Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- one egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 Tablespoons milk
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar.
- Once mixed, then mix in the egg and vanilla.
- Add the baking soda, cocoa, and flour and mix.
- If the mix seems dry, add the milk a little at a time.
- Add the semi sweet and milk chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
- Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Drop teaspoon size dollops of cookie dough on the cookie sheet.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool and enjoy your triple chocolate chip cookies!

What if My Dough is too Dry?
Add a little milk into the dough to soften the dough. If you cannot use milk, use a little water.
