What Makes the Best Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies?
Peanut Butter – You want to use the peanut butter you love. Creamy peanut butter really gets peanut flavor into the cookie dough evenly. If you want a litlte crunch, you can add crunchy peanut butter (I suggest doing half crunchy half creamy for the most peanut flavor).
Vegetable shortening – I have used butter, but vegetable shortening gives the best crunchy exterior and soft interior (in my opinion).
Sugar – Both brown sugar and white sugar are used. The brown sugar gives a nice crispness to the cookies (it has molasses in it) and adds delicious flavor too.
Egg
- Vanilla extract
Flour, brown sugar & white sugar and salt – Mix together before adding into the dough.
Hershey’s kisses to top the cookie.
