Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Ever eat a chocolate cookie and know, this is the cookie you have always wanted to make and enjoy? These fluffy chocolate chip cookies are the ulitmate cookies to make for your next baking adventure.
These are soft chocolate chip cookies that my family is happy when they see them baked. We prepare cookie dough and roll out and make dough balls to freeze to bake a treat now and then as a sweet treat.

Cookie Dough Ingredients:
- room temperature butter (we use salted butter)
- brown sugar
- white sugar
- eggs
- cornstarch
- baking soda
- salt
- vanilla extract
- chocolate chips
- all purpose flour

How Do I Get My Cookies to Be Fluffier?
We add cornstarch into our cookie dough. This allows the cookies to fluff a bit. In addition to this, we mix all the ingredients before adding the next. And once the flour is mixed, we stop. Don’t over mix.

What Makes a Cookie Fluffy vs Flat?
Cookies can bake flat when they do not have enough flour. Another reason could be that the butter is over warm, making the dough warm (and why we suggest chilling the dough). Chilling the cookie dough will help prevent cookies spread (and why you need to make sure you have enough flour. If your cookies have too much flour, they will also be puffy, not fluffy chocolate chip cookies and not spread enough.

How Do I Bake Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies?
Once you have made your cookie dough, cover it and place it in the fridge. Allow the cookie dough to stiffen (overnight if possible) and then make cookie dough balls and bake. If you need to bake your cookies the same time, reduce the baking time by a minute. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet before removing.

Can I Freeze Cookie Dough?
Yes! Your cookie dough can be rolled into dough balls, flash frozen and stored in air tight freezer containers. Be sure to label and date them. When you are ready to bake cookies, preheat your oven and bake as many cookies (and varieties) as you want.
