Skillet Breakfast Recipes

Have you made a skillet breakfast before? It takes all the thing you love about breakfast and puts them onto a skillet, or at bowl at our house. It’s ones of those recipes, that I don’t mind having leftovers (and the more leftovers the better)

I’ve seen this served at several restaurants and it’s soo good. And even better when we make it at home for less.

It’s hashbrowns with your favorite meats (we use bacon, sausage and sometimes ham along with Colby cheese.  It’s like a casserole you combine on the stove and eat, versus baking it.

Many layers of goodness in a bowl or in a skillet (skillets keep it warm while you eat). And if you love this, you gotta try breakfast pizza.

Hashbrowns can be crisped by adding butter into the pan and letting it melt and then adding in the hashbrowns. THe butter will help the hashbrowns cook and prevent them from sticking to the pan.

What Kind of Potatoes are Best For Skillet Breakfast?

We use packaged hashbrowns. It’s easier for us to portion. Shredded hashbrowns are our preference, but we also used cubed. So use what you have and what you like. Make sure you put butter in the pan and allow to melt so the potatoes crisp up.
