slow cooker turkey breast dinner
There is always a problem with the holidays of having enough room the oven to cook everything. But turkey can be ate all year round. Crock pot turkey dinner can be made easily year around. I love making a slow cooker turkey breast dinner. It’s less work and all the goodness of a turkey dinner.
I cooked the turkey in my 7 quart slow cooker. The smaller slow cooker did not accommodate the stuffing too. We used a 6 pound turkey breast, not an entire turkey.
What you’ll need:
slow cooker liner for the slow cooker (optional)
thawed turkey breast
prepared stuffing
slow cooker with lid
1 teaspoon rosemary
make homemade stuffing in the slow cooker
Follow the stuffing directions (mine required melted butter and 1 can of chicken stock/water. I also added 2 teaspoons of minced onion and a teaspoon of sage and rosemary).
Remove the bag of ‘stuff’ from the turkey breast (I threw it away). Place the turkey into the slow cooker and place the stuffing around the turkey breasts and cover. Put the rosemary on the outside of the turkey.
Set temperature to low and cook about 6 hours. You will want to cook until the turkey temperature is 165 degrees, according to the Food Safety site (mine was 175).
Remove and serve with your favorite veggies.
This sounds so good and so easy. Yum!
It was super moist and delicious!
Man, this sounds and looks great!
And much, much easier than the old traditional way of doing it.
This sounds like a great way to cook a turkey. Thank you for sharing.
