How to Make Pecan Turtles
These pecan turtles are super easy to make. Just 3 ingredients. A great Christmas gift you can make on a budget.
When making pecan turtles as a kid I remember my mom would make the caramel. We would then have to put into a mold and get the air out, lots of work. This recipe is easy and delicious turtles. When you don’t have a lot of time patience, quick and easy turtles are perfect for a busy mom.
Easy Pecan Turtle Snacks
Ingredients
- mini pretzel or square pretzels
- 1 package of chocolate caramel candies like Rolo
- 1 bag of pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325F.
- On a baking sheet with parchment or a silicon mat, place a single layer of pretzels. (allowing some space)
- Place an unwrapped candy on top of each pretzel.
- Place the baking sheet into the oven for 2-3 minutes until the candies become shiny and start to melt.
- Remove the sheet from the oven and place a pecan half on top of the each candy and press in, flattening the candy into the pretzel and securing the pecan.
- Allow to cool before eating and packaging for gifts.
Easy to Make Pecan Turtles
You should only make as many as you are willing to eat or quickly give away. These are addictive and delicious otherwise.
I found that putting them in the refrigerator after making them allowed them to set up quickly. You can then make the next batch.
These cost a lot less than purchasing them and would be pretty in a glass jar or a storage container with a bow on top! Package them with our candied pecans and almonds.

Man I’ve been looking for square pretzels all over the place! I hope I can find them soon so I can make these! I guess I could try with mini pretzels but square pretzels are much cuter. LOL
