Thank you to Keystone Brand Meats for providing me their canned beef and chicken to share this recipe with you. All opinions are mine. Check out the beef vegetable pot pie I made with their canned meat.
When my husband saw that I had a can of Keystone beef, he couldn’t wait to see what I was going to make.
Keystone is great to just warm up and eat, but you can make your family a hearty beef vegetable pot pie they will love. We used left over baked potatoes we had to ensure the potatoes were cooked in our recipe.
If you prefer chicken pot pie, use Keystone chicken and use chicken broth for this same recipe.
beef vegetable pot pie
What you’ll need:
1 small can Keystone Brand beef (you can also make this with Keystone chicken)
2 cups frozen mixed veggies
1-2 small potatoes peeled and cubed into 1 inch pieces (optional)
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth
salt & pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 350F.
In a 8×8 pan, add the frozen veggies, potatoes and flour and mix.
Add the beef broth and salt and pepper to your taste and stir thoroughly.
Take a piece of puff pastry a little bigger than your pan and roll out a little thinner.
Place on top of the 8×8 pan and tuck in the edges.
Bake about 45 minutes until golden brown.
Serve and enjoy. This is a perfect all in one dish for your family.
IF there are leftovers, you can freeze and take to work.
