Do you love buttery cheddar biscuits? Homemade bacon cheddar biscuits have become one of my favorite things to eat. Bacon makes everything better doesn’t it?
These are perfect to make and serve with soup (like potato) or chili. I honestly eat them as a meal. They are a little taste of heaven if you have left overs and warm them up with a little bit of butter.
Ingredients Used:
- biscuit mix
- shredded mild cheddar cheese
- dried parsley
- melted butter (for putting in dough)
- chopped cooked bacon
- milk
- garlic powder
- garlic salt
- melted butter (for buttering after baked)
What Makes These Drop Biscuits?
The biscuits get their name from dropping them from a spoon. You are not using a cutter to make them.
Why Are My Biscuits Dry?
They biscuits can become dry if you did not add enough milk into the mix. It’s a balance of liquid and dry ingredients. They should be sticky but firm.
Drop Biscuits Are Done
The biscuits will not brown completely. Bake the biscuits at the recommended. The biscuit peaks are browned and the bottom will be browned. If you need to still take one and open and see if it is doughy inside or note.
