Must See Roadside Attractions Green Bay Wisconsin
On a recent trip through Wisconsin, we stopped in Green Bay to see the famous Green Bay Packers stadium, Lambeau Field. We were also able to check out some other unique roadside attractions as well. We were able to check out some of the Green Bay roadside attractions.
Green Bay Roadside Attractions
Oxley – Metal Ox – this metal ox was pretty cool. It was a little difficult to find because it sits in front of an industrial building on the corner of the building. It is a little bigger than the size of a cow or bull (never seen an Ox to compare) . This isn’t a huge standout because of it’s size, so don’t miss it. Oxley is made of metal and a brownish color.
Location: 2620 Development Dr, Green Bay Wisconsin. In front of the handicapped parking area.
World’s Largest Hex Nut – located in the parking lot of Packer Fastener, sits this huge Hex nut. You can get out of your car, stand in it and grab a few pictures. They encourage you to post them on social media with hashtags as well. It stands 10 feet tall and weighs 3.5 tons!
Location: 728 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay. Located on the north side of Lombardi Avenue and east of Highway 32/South Ashland Avenue, just past the train tracks on your almost immediate left.
Dinosaurs Green Bay WI
Dinosaur – Dino the Dinosaur is located at a Shell Station, across the train track from the hex nut. Dino sits on the Lombardi side of the road next to the sign with the gas prices. Not a HUGE dinosaur, but something the kids will definitely want to take a look at with a great photo opportunity.
Location: 1828 S Ashland Avenue, Green Bay Wisconsin.
Green Bay Football Attractions
Driving towards the Green Bay Packers Stadium, you will see all of these interesting football attractions. We found a lot of them on Lombardi. Check before you head this way to make sure there is not a home game. You could find yourself stuck in traffic. Keep an eye out for treasures along the drive to the stadium.
HUGE Football – a large perfectly shaped football stands as a support for the roof of the Resch Center (side of the building)
Location: located at 855 Lombardi (physical address of the Resch Center is 1901 Oneida, Green Bay), but you will see this football on Lombardi between Oneida and Holmgren on the south side of the road.
Bart Star Statue – Bart Star was a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers from 1956 to 1971. He lead the team to victory in Super Bowl I and II!. He ties Tom Brady with total number of Championships (5). Not only was he a quarterback for the Packers, he was also coach for them (quarterback coach in 1972 and headcoach in 1974).
Location: in front of Resch Center, 1901 Oneida, Green Bay
More cheese head attractions
Football Statue – located on a private residence, behind a gate, sits a football statue not far from Lambeau Field. It can be seen from your car or the sidewalk.
Location. Corner of Shadow and Oneida. From the Resch Center, go north on Oneida. First Cross street is Shadow, it should be on the East side of the road.
Large football type statues– There is a lot of pride in the championships the Green Bay Packers have achieved. Along Lombardi, there are many football trophies with words like talent and power. It shows a great love for the team and players.
Location: Heading towards Lambeau Field from the East side of Lombardi, you will notice several large trophies with footballs on them on the South side of the road in front of businesses.
