We used the cupcake, baking cups. They made clean up easy and the cookies came out of them easy. Nothing was stuck in the cupcake tin. Their beautiful colors added to the baskets we made as well.
Pair with some tasty pineapple cupcakes.

What Ingredients Are Needed?
- sugar cookies (homemade or store bought dough)
- shredded coconut
- green food dye
- egg shaped candies

Do I Need to Bake the Cookies in a Shape or Free Form?
We let the cookies back free form. You could bake the cookies and then use a glass to go around the cookie. This would help make the same more circular to fit into the botton of the muffin tin.

Can I Make These Cookies in Advanced?
Yes, you wall want to keep them stored in an air-tight container to keep the cookies fresh.

Do I Need to Make Cookie Dough?
No. We have used prepackaged cookie dough for consistent portion control in making the baskets. You can also make these with your favorite sugar cookie recipe. Use a cookie scoop for equal size cookies.

Ours made 24 as the prepackaged cookies had 24 cookies in it.

Edible Sugar Cookie Easter Baskets
Ingredients
- 1 package of sugar cookies can also use your own sugar cookie recipe
- 1 1/2 cups coconut
- green food dye
- egg shaped candies
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to the temperature you need to cookie the sugar cookies per the package/recipe.
- Place the cupcake holders in the cupcake tin.
- Place cookie dough in the bottom of the cup.
- Cook the cookies per their directions.
- While the cookies are baking, mix the coconut and food coloring together in a bowl (about 8-10 drops or until the green consistency you want).
- Once the cookies come out, press with a small jar into the middle an indent.
- Allow the cookies to cool slightly and add the coconut and then the candies.
- Allow the cookies to cool before removing from the silicone molds or there will be problems removing.
- Using paper cupcake holders is easier to remove and eat.
