Edible Easter Egg Bird Nest
Edible Easter Egg Bird Nest Recipe
This Easter egg bird nest recipe is really easy to make. Edible and great as an Easter snack idea your family will love.
To make smaller nests, you do not need to use a cupcake pan. You can form the nests on a cookie sheet. You can even use a pretzel sticks if you don’t like the noodles.
These do not take a long time to make. They do need to be allowed to cool and set. Make sure you put your eggs on top before they set. If you don’t they will not stick and will fall off.
Perfect snack for Easter. Your kids will love making them and enjoy eating them.
How to Make Easter Egg Nest
Ingredients
1 can Chow Mein noodles
1 bag of butterscotch chips
egg shaped candy to decorate
2 Tablespoons coconut (optional)
Muffin pan
Instructions
Place cupcake papers or use (if you do not use them in the muffin pan, you will need to pry the nests out with a fork)
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butterscotch chips. Once melted, add the chow mein noodles and stir until mixed thoroughly.
Put some of the mix into the muffin tin and spread out. You can press the noodles into the tin with the back of a spoon. It is ok if the noodles break. Shape the noodles into a nest shape.
Sprinkle a little coconut down into each nest and add 2-3 eggs in each nest.
Allow to set. You can also place in the fridge to set quickly.
If you did not use cupcake liners, use the back of a fork or spoon to pry each nest out of the muffin pan.
This makes about 10 nests, depending on the size you make each nest.
Serve them with your other treats:
