Easy Bruschetta Recipe

Just looking at this picture makes me hungry.  This is a quick an easy appetizer you can make.  Who wouldn’t love Italian Bruschetta?  Make this bruschetta recipe in place of garlic bread with your spaghetti dinner!  Also a great snack at your next party.

This bruschetta sis super easy to make and only takes a few minutes.  I love it served on toasted Italian bread, but soft Italian bread would work too.  You can also serve a plate of Italian bread with a bowl of the bruschetta mix.  This will keep the bread from getting soggy over a long party.

Be sure to drain the tomatoes well, so that the bread soggy.  This is important if the bruschetta is not ate quickly.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 drained can petite diced tomato (15 oz.)
6 fresh basil leaves
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning blend
1 tablespoon minced garlic
shredded Parmesan cheese
toasted Italian bread slices

How to Make Italian Bruschetta

cutting basilIn a medium size bowl, add the drained can of diced tomatoes.
Roll the basil leaves and cut fine, and into the bowl.
Add in the Italian seasoning, garlic and minced onion.
Cover and allow to sit and marinate for 30 minutes.
Plate the toasted Italian bread slices.
Place a spoon full (about a teaspoon) onto each piece of bread.
Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese.
Serve and enjoy.

The bruschetta can be made ahead of time and served at a later time.  This allows the ingredients to marinate longer, which gives more flavor.
