This is my husband’s for a pizza burger. The pizza sauce is mild tasting in this recipe, so if you want a bigger sauce tasting, add more.
What you’ll need:
hot grill
16 ounces hamburger meat (we use 80/20 or 75/25)
1/4 cup pizza sauce
swiss or mozzarella sliced cheese
pepperoni slices (optional)
In a bowl, mix the hamburger and pizza sauce together. Make the burger into 2 even patties.
Grill the burgers until well or medium (or to your liking)
Put the pepperonis on top and then the cheese and allow the cheese to melt before placing on the bun.
Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
And who said eating a burger was boring?
I could eat swiss cheese on anything. Sometimes, when nobody is home, I’ll just eat slice after slice.
I need help.
But this sounds amazingly great. And we have tons of hamburger buns left over from Father’s Day party….great weekend idea here.
