cherry festival – Traverse City Michigan

The National Cherry Festival in Traverse City Michigan happens in the beginning of July.

There are lots of things to do and see while visiting in Traverse City all year long, but during the National Cherry Festival there are more activities: fireworks display, air show, live entertainment (concerts), parades, cherry pie-eating contests, a fabulous cherry farmers market and tons of cherry products (including wine) to indulge and take home.

Be sure you participate or check out the cherry pit-spitting contest and have a go at it.

You can download the full brochure from the National Cherry Festival on what is happening with a detailed map and a great timeline of what is happening when.
