This is an authentic Christmas spectacle. You can step in and immersive yourself into the festivities!
Come dressed for outdoor weather, as you’ll be strolling at your own pace visiting the different buildings and indoor & outdoor experiences.
Among the guests, are carolers and musicians dressed in period costumes that are beautiful.
Bring your camera, there are many photo opportunities you will want to capture.
You and your family get to see Santa and his reindeer. You will also be able to go inside several of the Village homes that are elegantly decorated for the holidays, enjoy live performances by the Dodworth Saxhorn Band, the 1st Michigan Colonial Fife & Drum Corps, experience Victorian-era carolers and ice skate on the Village ice rink (skate rental fee may apply).
You can warm up at the bonfire and see get warm outside. Come visit the reading of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol”. Be sure to stay until the end of the festivities to check out the beautiful fireworks display at the Martha-Mary Chapel to Town Hall.
Visit Museums Around Detroit Michigan
You can enjoy this fabulous opportunity on the weekends in December. You ticket includes everything with the exception of the 7 food stations and the holiday gift shop. Your ticket includes carriage rides and Model T rides. You will definitely want to arrive early to be able to see everything. You can order tickets online to best accommodate your schedule.
Regina, I haven’t seen it during the holidays, but I do love Greenfield Village and am long overdue for another visit. I’d like to see the Edsel Ford House again, too.
I can’t wait to take my kids back so they can see it again.
