Can I Make French Toast Casserole the Night Before?
Yes. The blueberry French Toast can be made the night before and stored in the fridge overnight. This allows the egg mixture to absorb into the bread. If you cannot make overnight, make it a few hours before you need it.

What Bread is Best for Making French Toast Casserole?
We like to use Texas toast or a thick bread when making blueberry French toast. You can also use brioche bread. If you don’t have bread slices, you can use bread cubes, brioche bread cubes and even an Italian loaf of bread sliced or cubed works well. If the bread is a little stale, even better, it will absorb the egg mixture.

Can I Add Cream Cheese to Blueberry French Toast Bake?
You can. A few dollops of cream cheese on top, will give you that cream cheese pop.
Should I Use Fresh or Frozen Blueberries?
We suggest using frozen blueberries. They hold their shape better when baking. If you only have fresh blueberries (and it’s an overnight recipe), put the blueberries in the freezer and put them on in the morning.
