How to Make This Easy Taco Recipe
We think cooking the homemade taco seasoning into the semi cooked ground beef makes the best meld of flavors for tacos. It allows the tacos seasonings to open up their flavors and infuse into the meat. Or so we like to think.

Can I Use Ground Turkey Instead of Ground Beef?
If you want to use ground turkey for your taco meat, you can. You will want to use additional seasoning because ground turkey does not have a lot of flavor. You can do this by simply adding additional seasoning or more chili powder, if you like a little more heat. Adding tomato sauce/tomato juice can also add flavor.

How Do You Season to Make the Best Ground Beef Tacos?
We make our own homemade taco seasoning. It contains chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, oregano, salt and ground paprika.

Variations & Tips
- Ground turkey option: Add extra seasoning or a spoonful of tomato sauce for richer flavor.
- Spice it up: Add chipotle chili powder or a squeeze of lime over the finished tacos.
- Crunchy vs. soft: Use tostadas if you want a sturdier base. They hold up beautifully.
- Leftover idea: Layer taco meat, refried beans, cheese, and tomatoes for a quick taco dip.
