What Ingredients Are Needed?
whipped topping
cherry pie filling
vanilla pudding
cherry juice (optional)
What Kind of Cherry Pie Filling Is Used?
We used a jar of homemade cherry pie filling. This does not have dye in it, so it make the cherry fluff a gray color, aka, the gray stuff. Our cherry pie filling was also made with black cherries, so that effected the color. Most canned cherry pie filling is a brighter red, so your color may be different and not need anything to brighten the color.

What Is My Cherry Fluff Gray in Color?
Using cherries that are black cherries can give a gray tint to your fluff. If you use maraschino cherries juice, this can brighten up the red color to a pink fluff. I don’t suggest using food coloring as that could make everyone’s mouth red. But could be intersting.

Can I Use Crushed Pineapple?
You can add crushed pineapple to your fluff if you want to have more fruits in your fruit salad, but it is not needed. The pineapple does not need to be drained if you use it and you could also add a cup of shredded coconut if you really wanted to level up your cherry fluff.

Can I Add Mini Marshmallows?
Your salad, your rules Mini marshmallows can definitely be added to this, with one caution. Don’t add the mini marshmallows until you are ready to serve. marshamllows tend to disolve when wet. You can place the mini marshmallows on top as well, so people know they once were in there if you put in with the rest of the ingredients.
How Long Does Cherry Fluff Need to Chill Before Serving?
Cherry fluff should be chilled at least 30 minutes to an hour before serving. This allows the vanilla pudding mix to gel and develop a structure instead of a runny mess.

How Do I Store the Cherry Fluff?
The cherry fluff salad recipe can be stored in an airtight container. It can be stored for 5 to 7 days.
What Other Things Can I Add to the Cherry Fluff Salad?
You can add chopped pecans, mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows and crushed pineapple, to name a few.
