Homemade Tater Tot Casserole
Not looking to spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking? Tater tot casserole is a great breakfast casserole you can make morning or night. And it’s easy to make, giving you more time to do the things you love.
Serve with your favorite blueberry french toast casserole and have a casserole breakfast.

What Ingredients Are Used?
- tater tots
- cream of chicken soup
- shredded medium cheddar cheese
- pepper
- chopped ham

How Long Do I Bake the Casserole?
The casserole should bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 400F. The casserole should be golden brown. If you want a crispier casserole, cook it longer.
Can I Freeze the Tater Tot Casserole?
You can freeze the casserole. If you want to go from freezer to oven, you need to have it in a dish that will not break due to temperature change. The casserole should be covered well, so it doesn’t get freezer burnt.
Can I Substitute Ham for Another Meat?
Don’t like ham? Use can use your favorite meat like bacon or sausage instead or all 3!
Can I Use Hashbrowns Instead of Tater Tots?
If you do not have tater tots, use the crowns. And as a last resort, you can use plain hashbrowns (but then it’s just hash brown casserole and not tater tots).
Easy & Delicious Tater Tot Casserole
Ingredients
- half bag of tater tots we used crowns….the flat ones
- 1/2 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup shredded medium cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped ham
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400โ.
- In a 8×8 dish, spray with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, add all the ingredients and mix together.
- Pour into the 8×8 dish and flatten evenly.
- If you have extra cheese, you could put some on top, but not needed.
- Place into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes, until the the tater tots crisp up.
- Remove from the oven and serve once it cools down enough to eat.
