Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
Quick Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie
We don’t make smoothies often, but when we have some fresh strawberries, we will grab a jar of our canned pineapple and throw it in the freezer and make a strawberry pineapple smoothie. These are easy to make and so delicious with fresh fruit.
If you wanted to experiment with other fruits, definitely use this recipe as a base to start and have fun.
Can You Use Frozen Strawberries?
Yes, definitely use frozen strawberries. You can reduce/eliminate the need for ice if you use frozen fruit. You may need to use more liquid if you use all frozen fruit, to help the blender chop the fruit.
Can You Use All Frozen Fruit?
Definitely. You can use frozen pineapple chunks and frozen strawberries. You may need additional liquid and some patience. Reduce/eliminate the ice to get the nice thick consistency you desire for your smoothie.
Can You Use Greek Yogurt?
Definitely. This would give protein to your drink. Be sure to pick a flavor, like vanilla that works well with the smoothie flavor.
Can you Use Flavored Yogurt?
We recommend a vanilla flavored yogurt, but you could use a strawberry/pineapple flavor to keep the smoothie tasting like strawberries and pineapple.
Could You Substitute And Use Pineapple Juice?
This recipe is totally customizable to your tastes. If you don’t like/have orange juice, use pineapple juice. Use this recipe as a base to make your other smoothie recipes.
Can You Add a Banana?
It is your smoothie, mix it up, add a banana. You may want to reduce the amount of other fruits, to not overfill your blender.
Can You Freeze Leftovers?
Yes, but not well. The smoothie will freeze solid. You may want to turn leftovers into delicious popsicles.
