How to Cook Sweet Corn on the Cob in Instant Pot
Instant Pot Sweet Corn on the Cob
Corn on the cob is such a Summer staple in our house. We will go to the local farmers market when it is available there or get some at our local grocery store. It’s not just any corn we will buy, we like sweet corn. If it’s too ripe, it can be bitter and taste like field corn (like for cows)
It’s perfect to go with the grilling we are doing outside. Since we have the instant pot and because it’s so quick to cook in it, we have found another way to cook it without heating up the house.
Cutting the sweet corn in half allows it it fit easier into the Instant Pot, especially if you have long ears of corn.
Ingredients
1 cup water
4-6 ears of corn
Instructions
Remove the husk and silk from each ear of corn.
Cut the ears in half.
Place the corn upright in the Instant Pot on the triviet.
Add the water into the Instant Pot.
Close the lid and cook the corn on high pressure for 3-4 minutes.
When done, turn off the heat and quick release.
Open the lid, remove and serve.
We have found that the corn is hotter than when cooked in water, so use cautions.
