Patriotic Red, White & Blue Berry Trifle Pound Cake

Berry Trifle Pound Cake Recipe
We love strawberries, pound cake and blueberries. It was easy to take these ingredients and make a berry trifle pound cake dish everyone will love. This is a great combination for a delicious red, white and blue dish for the 4th of July or any red white and blue themed event.
Whether you grow your own berries or get them at the store, it is a simple trifle to make (as long as you don’t eat it all while making it). Homemade pound cake makes it easy to freeze some cake and enjoy whenever you want.
To make it a special treat, you can use 8oz jelly jars and serve individual portions. You can also just use a pan and combine the ingredients for a party. Perfect for the 4th of July patriotic party.

Red White & Blue Trifle Dessert
Ingredients
- blueberries
- strawberries
- pound cake cubed
- whipped cream
Instructions
- Take your dish/jar and put a layer of blueberries.
- Add a layer of pound cake cubes.
- Add a layer of strawberries.
- Repeat the process until the jar/dish is full. If you have extras set them to the side and you can refill if needed.
- Add the whipped cream at the top to finish it off, or leave the whipped cream on the side so it doesn’t get soggy (my preference)

Can I Make This Dessert Ahead of Time?
You can bake the pound cake ahead of time. If you are going to assemble, do it a few hours ahead of time so the cake does not become soggy.

This looks so delicious! I’m not a big dessert fan, but this would be so refreshing on a hot summer day!
It is! Something sweet, but still really refreshing, because it has fresh fruit.
I so have to try this and so easy to make but I will admit that I will cheat and use a store bought angel food cake mix. 🙂
Definitely use different cake, bought or homemade…do your thing!
Too easy. And too pretty.
I will certainly attempt this. Even if I gotta substitute the pound cake for an angel food cake already made at the store.
Looks great!
Substitute away! Well don’t substitute the fruit for chocolate, it just wouldn’t be the same. 😉
This looks so super yummy. TFS.
It was delicious!
