Halloween Caramel Eye Candy Treat
This Halloween caramel eye candy treat is quick and easy to make easy and yummy. Perfect for a little snack for treat day at work or school.

What Ingredients Are Needed?
- Caramel chocolate candies (like Rolos)
- candy eyes
- roundย pretzels

Are These Baked or No Baked?
They are oven melt. They go into to oven, so they are ‘baked’. Better description they are melted. We make them when we have to turn the oven on for something else.

How Long Do They Stay In the Oven?
They need to be in the oven 1 to 2 minutes. Th chocolate will go from dark and dry looking, to glossy as in the photos below. You are’not cooking them, just warming them up.

How Do I Secure the Eyes to the Pretzel?
You will alsoย want the chocolate to be touching the edges of the pretzel to secure the pretzel and chocolate. Press the candy into the pretzel. if using square pretzels.

Can You Make Eyeball Pretzels Ahead of Time?
Yes. This is the best way to make them. Let them cool and set up before you transport to your event. Otherwise it will be chocolate and chaos mess.

Ingredients
- caramel chocolate candies like Rolos
- candy eyes like these
- round pretzels
Instructions
Using the Oven
- Preheat the Oven to 400โ.
- On a baking sheet add parchment paper.
- Place the pretzels (we used round). Square preztels also work.
- Place a rolo on top of the pretzel.
- Put the baking sheet in the oven for 1-2 minute.
- Check the candies and remove when they start to look shiny.
- Remove from the oven and place the candy eye on the rolo, pressing gently.
- Allow to cool and set.
- If needed, place in fridge or freezer to set.
- Remove and serve them on a party tray.
Using the Microwave
- Take the pretzels and put them out on a microwaveable plate and make sure they are not overlapping.
- Unwrap the candies and place them inside the pretzels as best they will fit.
- Do it too hard and you’ll break the pretzel, so be careful!
- Microwave the candies for 25-30 seconds or until they are a little melty (so you can press the eyes in).
- Press the eyes into the chocolate gently.
- You will want to still be able to see the eyes, but not bury them in the chocolate.
- You will alsoย want the chocolate to be touching the edges of the pretzel to secure the pretzel and chocolate.
- Place the completed treats in the fridge so they can set and cool.
