We used ravioli with cheese filling. Our ravioli were mini one bite size and stuffed with Romano and ricotta cheese. You can use square size or ones filled with meat for a baked ravioli dish.

Can I Use Store Bought Ravioli?

Definitely. This is the perfect weeknight meal. Store bought ravioli is what we used and found to be tasty. If you desire homemade cheese ravioli, you can make ahead of time and still enjoy this dish on a weeknight.

Should I Cover the Ravioli While Baking in the Oven?

We typically do not cover this dish while it bakes. It’s cooking at 350F, so it’s not a high temp dish. If you feel the dish is getting too brown on top, and the dish is not bubbling in the middle and edges, you can cover and cook for the remaining time. Be careful that the cheese does not get stuck to the aluminum foil.
