I have to say I was excited.  Food.  New Recipes. Especially since Red Gold is focused on growing local in the Midwest of the United States (mainly my home state of Michigan, Indiana and Ohio) since the climate, sun and soil are perfect for growing tomatoes!

Aioli is a flavorful mayo-like spread that is great for smearing on sandwiches, dipping fries, chicken, fish tacos and pizza (yum!)  made

Red Gold has come up with some delicious Aioli’s that require a can of Red Gold Aioli tomatoes, 1/2 cup mayo and sometimes a few more ingredients.  I think you will enjoy them as much as I did.

My kit came with several recipes to try.  I made the Flat Bread Pizza with aioli.  It was nom nom nom, delicious!

Flatbread Veggie Pizza

What you’ll need:
4 flatbread or 2 Naan bread
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 medium green or orange pepper chopped (I used red, orange and yellow)
1 recipe Red Gold Garlic Aioli (14.5 oz Red Gold Garlic & Oil tomatoes, drained + 1/2 cup light mayo & 10 large garlic cloves roasted and mashed)
1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil.

Preheat the oven to 425F.  Spread layer of Garlic Aioli on flatbread.  Sprinkle with peppers and top with cheese.  Bake pizza for 12 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.  Just before serving, service with fresh basil.
