how to make steamed cauliflower in the Instant Pot
I’m always looking for ways to use my Instant Pot. So I decided to use it on making steamed cauliflower. Is it quicker to make steamed cauliflower in the Instant Pot? Debatable with the time you wait for it to release. But it did give me another change to get the 6 quart out and use it, so that made me happy Here is an easy way you can make cauliflower just like me.
If your kids won’t eat cauliflower, do what I did. Tell your kids it is white broccoli. Suddenly it becomes okay to eat.
head of cauliflower, cut and quartered
1/2 – 3/4 cup of Parmesan cheese (more for larger heads of cauliflower)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups water
Place your steamer basket into the Instant Pot.
Add the 2 cups of water and place the cauliflower into the pot. Do not over crowd the basket. If you have a huge head of cauliflower, you may have to run two batches.
Place the top onto the Instant Pot and set it for steam for 5 minutes.
Allow natural release.
You can serve the cauliflower with a little salt and pepper, perhaps a cheese sauce to dip in. Or you could mash the cauliflower and turn them into mashed ‘potatoes’.
