5
toothpicks broke in half
Ingredients
1
spiral ham
1
pineapple cut in rings
1/2
cup
honey
1

pineapple juice
Instructions
Preheat oven 350F.
Place ham into baking pan, flat side down.
Place pineapples over the ham using half toothpicks to hold in place.
Cover the ham with aluminum foil and put the ham in the oven.
After 1 hour, remove the ham.
Take the honey and pineapple juice and mix together, reserving 1-2 tablespoons of honey.
Carefully move the ham onto it's side.
Brush the mix over the ham, getting in between the layers.
Pour the reserved honey over the top of the ham and put the ham back in the oven, uncovered.
Baste the ham again in 30 minutes, using the remaining amount of honey/pineapple mix.
After baking for 2 1/2 hours, remove the ham, slice and serve.

Baking Tips:
We start the ham flat side down and when we go to baste, flip it on it's side so that we can get in between the slices with the glaze.
You can turn the heat down to 300F, but we don't so we can get some crispy ham.
If you don't have fresh pineapple, pineapple rings and juice from the pineapple can work perfect.
Turn left overs into sandwiches, scalloped
potatoes and ham
or ham and bean
soup
