Homemade Fresh Strawberry Syrup
This homemade strawberry syrup is made with fresh strawberries and only three ingredients. It cooks in minutes and is perfect for pancakes, waffles, lemonade, ice cream and summer desserts. No straining needed and full of bright strawberry flavor.

Ingredients
1
cup
strawberries with stems removed

Tablespoons
sugar
1
teaspoon
lemon juice
Instructions
Mix the strawberries, lemon juice and sugar in a blender or use a handblender to mix together.
Blend until it looks like a smoothie.
Pour into a pan and heat until the sugar is melted.
Stir to keep from burning.
Once it comes to a boil and is foaming, it's ready, remove from heat.
If desired, skim off any bubbly foam.
Pour into a jar or into a serving container.
Allow to cool slightly before putting on your waffles or pancakes.
Let cool completely if using in milkshakes or lemonade.
Store cooled syrup in the refrigerator.
