Be sure to have your ice cream maker frozen per the instructions from the manufacturer (ours takes 12-24 hours)
Remove the stems and pits from the cherries and cut in half.
Mix the cherries and the sugar together in a blender.
Add the heavy cream and blend everything for 30 seconds.
Add the vanilla and half and half.
Blend the mix for 1 minute until the sugar is mixed together.
Pour the mixture into the frozen ice cream maker and prepare to freeze the ice cream.
Run the ice cream machine until the ice cream is frozen. It will be soft serve consistency, and your machine will start to have difficulty (possibly) churning the ice cream.
Place the ice cream into a freezer safe container and place into the freezer to firm up.
