Sweet & Spiced Apple Pie Jam
Make a small batch of delicious apple pie jam. Perfect for breakfast or use it to make yourself desserts and other treats.

Ingredients
3 1/4
cups
finely chopped apples (granny smith, fuji, or gala)

Tablespoons
pectin

Tablespoons
lemon juice
1/2
teaspoon
butter
1 1/2
teaspoons
cinnamon
1
teaspoon
nutmeg
2
cups
sugar
Instructions
Wash and peel the apples.
Core apples and finely chop the apples.
Add the pectin onto the bottom of the jam and jelly maker.
Place the apples on top of the pectic.
Add the lemon juice and butter to the jam and jelly maker.
Press the jam button and start the maker and cover the apples.
In a bowl mix the cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg together.
When the jam and jelly maker beeps, remove the cover and add the sugar evenly around the jam maker. Cover and allow the jam to process.
Prepare your jars for canning the apple pie filling.
When the maker beeps again, remove the paddle with an oven mitt (it's hot).
Place the apple pie filling into jars and wipe the rim with a clean wet towel.
Place a seal and band on the jar.Hand tighten the band.
Place the jars in a water bath canner.Once water boils, leave in canner for 10 minutes.
Turn off heat, let jars sit for 5 minutes before removing.
Place the jars on a towel and cover the jars with another towel so the cool slowly.
Date and label jars after checking that they sealed.
