Homemade Candy Apple Jelly
With just 4 ingredients you can make candy apple jelly. We make a small batch that gives us 4 half pints. Perfect to enjoy and share.

Ingredients

unsweetened apple juice

pectin

cinnamon red hots
3 1/3
cups
sugar

teaspoon
butter
Instructions
In a large bowl mix the apple juice and pectin together and blend.
Pour into the jam and jelly maker and add the red hot candies.
Add the butter (this helps prevent it from foaming.
Start the jam and jelly maker on jelly mode, 25 minutes.
Measure out your sugar and gather the jars.
When the jam and jelly maker beeps, add the sugar and place the cover on the maker.
Get the seals, bands, funnel and a clean wet towel and a couple cloth towels as well.
When the jam and jelly maker beeps after processing, remove the paddle with an oven mitt and begin filling the sanitized jars.
Leave 1/4" headspace on the jars.
Wipe the rim of the jars with the clean wet towel and then place the seal and band on the jar, hand tightening.
Fill your water bath canner with hot water and make sure it is similar temperature of the jars.
Place the sealed jars into the water bath canner and bring the water to a boil.
Let the jars stay in the water for 10 minutes and turn off the heat.
Allow the jars to sit for 5 minutes before removing.
Place the jars on a towel and cover with a towel to allow cooling to happen slowly.
Check the jars to make sure they are sealed.
Date and label the jars.
