Ingredients

canning salt
can use course salt

bay leaves

hot water

water to cover the turkey
Instructions
In a large pitcher or bowl add 4 cups hot water and mix in sugar and salt.
Stir until the sugar and salt dissolve.
Add 4 cups cold water and mix.
Add the turkey into a large pot and pour the bring over the turkey/turkey breasts.
Add the bay leaves.
Fill the pot covering over the turkey. You may need to put a bowl in the pot to keep the turkey from floating to the top.
Place in the fridge to keep cool for 12 - 24 hours.
.When done, drain the pot and wash off the salt brine from the turkey.
Pat down the turkey and then add your seasoning to cook the turkey.
