Do you ever get bored drinking your coffee the same way? Sometimes I find myself wanting to mix it up and experiment with what I can do. I enjoy drinking hot coffee in the winter. In the warmer months, I like my coffee chilled. I recently made too much coffee and had some leftover. See how I made iced coffee at home with a twist.
By making iced coffee this way, it does not weaken it, allowing it to keep it’s flavor.
how to make a good iced coffee at home
Ingredients:
cool coffee
ice cube tray
creamer (optional)
sugar (optional)
Instructions:
You will need to make this the night before to have it in the morning.
If you want to add sugar into your coffee, you should add it into the coffee now and then freeze into cubes.
Place the cooled coffee in the ice cube tray as they have lids and prevented spilling in my freezer.
Once the ice cubes are frozen, remove from the freezer.
Add 5-6 ice cubes into the glass or until it’s full.
Add your creamer and/or sugar.
How do you like your iced coffee?
Quick and on the “cheap” love it. Make my budget friendly iced mochas that I take in a big cooler jug when meeting with friends, going to try your also.
I hope you like it! It can be modified for flavored coffee like others have suggested too!
I don’t know why I never thought about it. It’s a great idea. Quick and convenient in the morning, and I need quick in the morning since I am always running out the door in a hurry.
I love it for those reasons too Katie!
I never had an iced coffee before, so I went out to the kitchen and made one, OMG so tasty!
I know right!? I thought wow when I made it too!
I really hate coffee. But i have a few coffee loving friends who I’ll suggest this to!
Thanks for sharing this with your coffee drinking frienda Amy!
I love iced coffee too. What a great idea!!! 🙂
Thanks Julie. I appreciate the kuddos!
this looks so yummy
I think it is and I hope you do too!
Thank you so much for this. I can’t wait to try it.
This is a great recipe. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you!!
You are welcome. I hope you enjoy!
Woo-hoo! I’m not the only one that does this kind of thing! I always hated it when my drinks got too diluted with water, but some things really are better cold. The solution? Freeze the drink itself!
Sometimes I make flavored batches of the frozen coffee cubes, so then I can spunk up one batch of regular coffee, in a variety of ways, depending on what I (or guests) feel like. I store ’em in labeled freezer bags after making them, so I know which kind is which.
That is a great tip Rhiannon! Thank you for taking the time to share how you do this! Love it.
great idea with the ice cubes!
Thanks. I think it’s pretty good, since I put so much cream in my coffee already.
what a neat idea! I just bought some creme brulee flavored coffee ..going to try it!
That sounds delicious too!
yum,looks very good.
I hope you enjoy if you so choose.
Love this idea! I like my coffee cold too and this is a great way to use any leftovers! Plus, I like the idea of coffee cubes to take out and have ready in case you don’t have time to make more coffee! Thanks for sharing 🙂
You are welcome. I love time savers, though it takes some prep time, it’s worth it!
I personally don’t like any coffee cold. I guess for those that do, this would be a great idea. I am not one to go buy those specialty drinks that are cold or frozen coffee either. Nor do I like coffee flavored ice cream . I guess it’s because I was raised to drink coffee hot and black, lol Thanks for the information, it is a good idea 🙂
I can appreciate that you like your coffee that way Jan. I think people may go with what they like for sure. I grew up drinking my mom’s cold cream filled coffee.
This is a great way to change up flavors as well. I like the hazelnut to be cold
Oh I didn’t think of flavored coffees, that is a good idea.
This kind of coffee is really good to drink…Thanks a lot for sharing with us..
You are welcome. I think it’s my new favorite way to drink coffee too!
My son would like this, for myself, I’m not a coffee drinker.
I hope your son like this!
