This does require some prep at the end of the cooking time, to add the milk, corn starch and dumplings and once the dumplings are cooked, you can eat.
You can also make this with turkey if you wanted to as well.
This is a great hearty meal.
3-4 Chicken Breasts cut into 1 inch chunks
1 can cream of chicken soup
4 carrots chopped finely
2 stalks celery chopped finely
1 small onion chopped finely
1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1 can chicken broth
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
1 tablespoon corn starch
salt & pepper to taste
1 1/4 cup Bisquick
1/2-3/4 cup milk
Line your slow cooker with a liner.
Take the chopped chicken, chicken broth and cream of chicken soup and place in slow cooker.
Add the carrots, celery and onion.
Add the thyme, turmeric and rosemary (salt & pepper to taste).
Cook on low 6-8 hours.
About 1 hour before serving, add the milk and corn starch and stir. (can can even mix the corn starch with a little warm water before adding in)
Mix the Bisquick and milk together for the dumplings.
Drop teaspoon size dumplings into the slow cooker about an hour before you serving/same time you add the milk into the slow cooker.
Cook until the dumplings are no longer doughy.
