We recently took a trip to Disney and enjoyed the Frozen Chocolate Banana snacks at every theme park.
I wanted to recreate these for my family as they are a great way to get the kids to eat bananas.
These were a little tricky to make and might be better if made with a slow cooker full of chocolate. I only used one brick of chocolate, so it required me to spread the chocolate on banana, before it froze the chocolate and I still needed to get the nuts on!
Ingredients:
Ripe Bananas
Lollipop Sticks
Melting Chocolate
Chopped Nuts
Sprinkles (or other toppings)
Spatula
Instructions:
Take the lollipop sticks and place them into the peeled bananas.
The banana’s will need to be frozen for a few hours before the next few steps can be performed.
In a microwave safe dish, melt the package of chocolate melting chocolate.
Put the banana stick in the chocolate and you may need to use the spatula to spread the chocolate around.
Quickly remove and sprinkle nuts or sprinkles on to the banana and set aside.
Repeat until your bananas are covered.
Store in freezer safe container until you are ready to eat them.
These look delicious. I’ve been having to get extra potassium lately and don’t especially like bananas. This I can do.
Maybe even cut into chunks dip and sprinkle and eat Lenora. That might help you too.
Sounds like something fast and fun to do with my grandsons thank you for sharing
I hope you and your grandsons enjoy Denise!
i love this, i’m going to try it this weekends, i love banana, nut and chocholate and that snack combine everything in to one! Thanks for the recipe
I hope you enjoy. Maybe even cut the banana’s into chunks, freeze them and then dunk them and roll them would be fun variation too!
These are way better than deep-fried bananas 🙂 Wish my state fair thought so -.-
I have not heard of deep fried bananas. That is definitely the opposite of that!
This is a ‘Woow’ Banana recipe .. I love banana actually.
They are pretty delicious (and a great way to keep from throwing out bananas!
I made these with the kids today…the only thing I would do differently next time is to pre-freeze the bananas because the wairing was horrible!
I will check the recipe, but I thought I said to freeze the bananas. If I didn’t state them, I’m terrible sorry.
Yes, the first step is to stick the stix in the bananas, then you freeze them for a few hours, and then you continue on.
So sorry that was not clear.
If you can fry it or cover it in chocolate it will get eaten here! I keep putting off making these.. actually forgetting about it! Thanks for the recipe!

YUM! I wish my son wasn’t allergic to peanuts and dairy.
Try it with alternatives you use and see if that works. Frozen and mashed is good too!

I think this recipe is a perfect treat for the entire family. We eat a lot of bananas around here and this would be a hit in our house.
