These Easter egg nests are super cute, fun and easy to make. Your kids will love help decorating them.
When working with rice cereal and marshmallow, it is important to wet your hands, or you will be a gooey mess.
1/4 teaspoon water
2-4 drops green food coloring
1/2 cup flaked coconut
3 tablespoons butter
1 package (10 ounces) regular marshmallows
6 cups rice cereal
1 bag Cadbury chocolate eggs
Muffin pan sprayed with cooking spray
In a small bowl, stir together the water and food coloring.
Add coconut and stir until mixed together and coconut is green.
In a large pan, melt butter over low heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat and add rice cereal.
Stir until well coated.
Take a spoonful and put into muffin tin.
Wet your fingers and press into pan, putting thumb indent for nest.
Allow to cool and then fill nest with coconut and chocolate eggs.
