I’m thankful to my friends Deb Thompson and Tonya Prater for sending me their book “100 Things to do in Cleveland Before You Die, 2nd edition”. My family had recently spent 24 hours in Cleveland, so I was excited to sit down and read about a lot of places we had already visited. I was wrong. To say I’d hit 25% of the things is an over statement. I hit 3 things on their list. The book covers a lot of ground on what to do in Cleveland Ohio.
While Cleveland may be known for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it’s more than a 1 trick pony. There are so many other great places to stop and see. And the food. Wow, the food is fabulous.

They layout of the book is pretty easy to help guide you in many ways to find things you are looking for. There are sections for places to eat in Cleveland (food and drinks), music and entertainment, sports and recreation, culture and history and shopping and fashion. But that wasn’t enough. If you go to the back of the book, those organized gals gave you sample itineraries by season to do activities. And at the very end, there is an index that lists everything in the book in alphabetical order.
And to top it off, depending on how you come into town, you can find a few things to do outside the city too. The details of each bucket list item give you a sense of what to find there. The addresses are provided to, which allows you to plug in your GPS coordinance and go.
I would suggest getting a map of the city and mapping out where you want to go. You’ll be able to cover more ground that way. There is a ton of fun and food to do in Cleveland and you want to make sure you or organized (or I do) when visiting.
This book is a great companion on your next trip to Cleveland. And if you have a friend or family member who loves to travel, it would make the perfect gift for them too. You can find it where books are sold in stores and online.
