how to make mom a unique Mother’s Day gift she will love
When I was a kid, my mom kept all the birthday cards I had ever received. It was always fun to go through them and see what people had celebrated my birth and birthdays. And when I moved out, I received all of those cards. It was not practical for me to keep all of the cards, and they were discarded. I was looking for an alternative for Mother’s Day Cards and decided the kids writing or drawing in a journal, would work best for us.
Here’s what I did:
I found a journal (you could use a book with blank pages too).
I gave it to my kids and asked them to make me a picture for Mother’s Day. I made sure they didn’t draw on each other’s page (or back of the page).
Ideally, someone else would as the kids to do this, so it would be a surprise on Mother’s day. I just find it an awesome treasure to do as it is something I cherish already.
This would be great for grandma too. The kids could come over and draw while visiting. (make sure they date the page so you know the year it was drawn).
other great gifts for Mom, Dad and the Grad in your life
This allows you to see your kids cards forever in one location. (not to mention you save a ton on cards. This book cost me $14.99. 160 pages. I’ll be good for many Mother’s Days yet to come. And so will you with your book.
This will store in a bookshelf perfectly or you can keep it on your night stand to browse though when you want. What unique gifts have you given mom for Mother’s Day?
I love this page. Regina has done a wonderful job. I think I have been following her for at least 3 + years she has done a wonderful job with different things to make a Jew and encouraging others. Thank you for Regina.
