A Big shout out and thanks to Impression 5 Museum (also called Impression 5 Science Center) or I5 for inviting me to come and check out the Hot Wheels: Race to Win touring exhibit and share my experience with you.
Impression 5 Science Center is located in downtown Lansing (Michigan) and is a hands on, family friendly museum. The museum allows you to explore all 5 senses with it’s exhibits.
Make a pitstop
Touring exhibits are only available for a limited time at museums. Now through January 6, 2017, you and your family can come to Impression 5 and check out this traveling exhibit. Hot Wheels: Race to Win exhibit was built by the Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
If you think you are just going to go and see a lot of little cars, you are in for a surprise. There are exhibits where you can race your die cast cars, but you can see authentic race car gear including tires, suits and more. (you have to come see it for yourself).
There are many hands on opportunities for the entire family. You can turn these tires, which I couldn’t resist to do (it was fun!)
Race Fan Friendly
Asa NASCAR fan, I found this exhibit really cool (and I’ve been to MIS)
If you have someone in your life that is a big racing fan, this is a great way for them and their kids (and grand kids) to come together and check out things you might only see on TV. They can share stories and pass on their love of racing to the next generation.
What I found budget friendly about this is that when you pay to get into the museum, you do not have to pay extra to see this exhibit. Thanks Impression 5 for being budget and family friendly!
On your way out, be sure to stop into the store they have. It will allow you to take a little of the museum home and really get your kids into learning (without them knowing it).
